Funeral held for twin brothers killed in Hermitage house fire

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A family said goodbye to twin brothers on Saturday morning after they were killed in a house fire last month.

Lathan and Langston, both only four years old, were killed in a fire that happened at their Hermitage home on July 28.

The boys, their mother and their sister were inside at the time of the fire. When crews arrived, the mother was outside and told firefighters that two children were still inside, on the second floor of the home.

The four-year-old boys died after reportedly becoming trapped, preventing their mother from rescuing them. She did manage to save their sister.

They were special needs and were born micro preemies.

At least one of the boys had cerebral palsy, along with vision and hearing issues.

Here are instructions on how to watch WSMV4 live on various platforms.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday morning for Lathan and Langston.

"It's an enormous hole," family friend Lacey Corbitt said. "All the memories are gone with them. I can't even look at their toys and remember them. They're melted; they're gone."
