Manny Pacquiao has 'Physical: Asia' rivals starstruck as he makes entrance with Team Philippines

Team Philippines made quite an entrance in the pilot of "Physical: Asia!"

Manny Pacquiao led his fellow star athletes during the reveal and introduction of their team, and their rivals from other countries couldn't help their cheers and exclamations of shock and disbelief. While everyone else was in training uniforms, the boxing legend wore a suit and sunglasses, and made sure he was full of aura as he made his entrance.

"I can't believe I'm actually seeing him in real life," one of the competitors said.

"Having Manny Pacquiao with us, competing? What an experience to see him leading his team. It's exciting to watch."

In his introductory reel, Manny gave a rundown of his rise to boxing fame.

"I became a champion in eight different weight divisions," he said. "I'm still passionate about boxing, that's why I'm still accepting fights. Timing naman na nagsabi sila na may 'Physical: Asia." Sabi ko, 'Sige, why not.' My body is still strong, so I can still fight."

"Pakita sa buong mundo na ang Pilipino ay laging palaban at talented," he added.

The rest of Team Philippines are Fil-Am national team sambo athlete Mark "Mugen" Striegl, strongman Ray Jefferson Querubin, national team rugby player Justin Coveney, national team hurdler Robyn Lauren Brown, and crossfit athlete Lara Liwanag.

"Physical: Asia" is the newest season of the "Physical: 100" franchise. It's a team competition featuring top-tier athletes representing their respective countries. -- JCB, GMA Integrated News
