The Northern Regional Minister, Ali Adolf, has praised Channel One TV/Citi FM for promoting entrepreneurship and innovation in northern Ghana through the maiden Northern Business Fair in Tamale.

Speaking on behalf of the Minister at the opening ceremony on Saturday, 25 October, the Municipal Chief Executive for Sagnarigu, Iddrisu Imoro, described the fair as more than just a marketplace, calling it a key platform for learning, networking, and inspiring new business ideas.

He commended Channel One TV for bringing together over 150 entrepreneurs, exhibitors, and investors at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium to showcase locally made products and services across sectors including agriculture, technology, crafts, and renewable energy.

"This fair is a powerful example of how collaboration between media, government and the private sector can achieve. Channel One TV deserves special commendation for taking this national programme to the grassroots, helping indigenous businesses to showcase their products, tell their stories and connect with investors. I wish to once again commend Channel One TV for this initiative," he said.

Mr Imoro urged participating businesses to make the most of the fair by forming partnerships, exchanging ideas, and advocating for policies that support sustainable enterprise development in northern Ghana.

"I wish to encourage you to take full advantage of this opportunity, connect with fellow entrepreneurs, engage with exhibitors and participate in discussions during the fair," he said.

He reaffirmed the government's commitment to creating a conducive environment for businesses.

"I wish to assure you of the government's continuous commitment to creating a conducive business environment that provides access to financing and market accessibility," he added.

Business owners expressed satisfaction with patronage on the opening day, citing impressive sales and valuable networking opportunities.

The two-day event, organised by Channel One TV in collaboration with Citi FM, showcased locally made goods such as rice, groundnut paste, shea butter, dawadawa, honey, soya milk, and handwoven textiles.

Participants described the fair as a timely platform for exposure, collaboration, and increased sales, reflecting the enthusiasm of both exhibitors and visitors.
