Callum Robinson has spent most of this season on the bench for Cardiff City. On Tuesday, Chelsea will hope he stays there.
The League One leaders will host the Club World Cup champions in an EFL Cup quarter-final at Cardiff City Stadium and, in Robinson, the home side might have an ace up their sleeve.
The Republic of Ireland forward has a remarkable record against Chelsea, scoring five goals in three Premier League games against the former Champions League winners.
In fact, Robinson scored two of those goals in one substitute appearance for West Bromwich Albion in a 5-2 victory at Stamford Bridge in 2021, just a month before Chelsea were crowned champions of Europe for a second time.
His current club might be two divisions lower than the Londoners, but Robinson could not help gently reminding Chelsea fans of his record, external against their team when the draw was made.
"Not many players score that many goals against a team like Chelsea over the years so it's stuck with me quite a bit throughout my career," he said.
