Green Bay, WI--Thanks to a career-high 27 points from Ben Tweedy, the Green Bay Phoenix ended their 21-game losing streak, defeating Wright State 79-68 at the Kress Center on Sunday.
It was the first Horizon League victory for GB head coach Doug Gottlieb.
Marcus Hall had 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists, while Preston Ruedinger chipped in 14 points, and Ryan Wade had 12.
The Phoenix trailed by 11 early in the first half, but went on a 12-0 run, with 9 of those points coming from Tweedy.
GB is on the road next week against Robert Morris on Friday and Youngstown State on Sunday.
