Video Of Delhi 'AQI 1' Inside Room With Two Air Purifiers Has Everyone Asking 'Ulta Toh Nahi Rakha?'

Air goes down and the woes came up! It is that time of the year again when every view from a Delhi NCR window turns into a blur. The city wakes up under a thick blanket of smog and breathing fresh air feels like something of a luxury. As the Air Quality Index (AQI) begins to slide once more, people across the capital prepare for yet another season of coughing, watery eyes and endless air purifier sales.

With purifiers running almost every second, some people have taken the clean-air mission to a whole new level. One Reddit post recently showed this perfectly where a user claimed their room's air quality had dropped to just 1 AQI and the internet couldn't stop reacting.

A Room With '1 AQI.' Yes, Really

A Reddit user shared a post titled, "1 AQI inside room, but using 2 Air Purifiers." Along with it, they posted a photo of their purifier screen showing a level of just 1. The user explained that the doors and windows had been closed for around 30-40 minutes with two people sitting inside a 200 sq ft room.

They wrote, "Doors and windows closed for past 30-40 mins. 2 people in room. Room size is around 200 sq ft. Feeling good." They also mentioned that both air purifiers were from Philips and Coway.

For most people, that kind of number is nothing short of fantasy.

One user commented, "Itni saf hawa me mujhe khansi aane lagti hai (I start coughing in air this clean)." The original poster replied, "I was also feeling a bit weird in air when it hit 1 AQI."

Another joked, "Ulta rkha hai op ne seedhi side se 100 AQI hai (You've kept it upside down, it's actually showing 100 AQI from the right side) while someone else added, "OP wants to go negative."

A person humourously said, "He wants to create blackhole suck all pollution from universe."

"Itne clean air se mujhe allergy ho jayegi, thoda micro plastic aur pollution dal do (I'll get an allergy from such clean air, please add some microplastics and pollution)," read another comment.

Others joined in with comments like, "Bahut zyada hi saaf ho gayi hawa (The air has become too clean), "0 pe sab gayab hojata hai kya? (Does everything disappear at 0 AQI?)" and "OP ye luxury lene k liye apka ghar aa jao? (Can we come to your house to experience this luxury?)."

AQI Or PM Reading?

Between the jokes, a few users also pointed out that the reading shown might not actually represent the AQI but rather the PM (Particulate Matter) level. PM indicates the amount of tiny solid particles and liquid droplets floating in the air.
