Parade of planets visible starting Saturday evening | ABC6

In the coming weeks, Mars, Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune, Saturn and Venus will put on a show after sunset.

Planet alignments like this aren't rare, but they also don't come around every year. The best part of this planetary alignment will be how they lineup along the horizon.

To see the planets, simply look south about an hour and a half after sunset (around 4:50 PM.)

You won't be able to see all of the planets with the naked eye, as it will take a telescope or very strong binoculars to see both Uranus and Neptune.

Those two will also get lost in the glare of the sun as we head into February.

Earth is currently passing between Mars and the sun, meaning this will be our best chance in two years to see that particular planet.

This isn't an ideal time of year for stargazing, so bundle up when you head out to check it out!
