Lowe's CEO reveals new 'three-tiered' program is 'designed to reward'

Lowe's is upgrading its major loyalty program designed to help professionals

LOWE'S is revamping its flagship loyalty program, making it more user-friendly and offering better deals.

The popular hardware store is making major changes to its MVPs Pro Reward & Partnership Program, unveiling a three-tiered, easier-to-use version.

The updated program, renamed as MyLowe's Pro Rewards, is aimed at small and mid-sized professionals.

The scheme promises more immediate benefits, starting with points earned from the very first dollar spent upon sign-up.

Lowe's executive VP of pro and home services Quonta Vance said in a statement that the business was focused on helping customers save money.

"If you're a pro, we want you enrolled in MyLowe's Pro Rewards program because we're focused on saving pros more when they choose Lowe's first," said Vance.

"This is one of the few rewards programs in the industry designed to reward pros from their first dollar spent - no special volume thresholds to earn and save at Lowe's."

When customers sign up, they can start earning points immediately.

It's similar to Lowe's homeowner rewards program but with extra benefits like access to exclusive products, sports memorabilia, gift cards, volume discounts, and business tools.

Additionally, MyLowe's Pro Rewards Credit Card members will receive a 5% discount on eligible purchases each day, along with a free upgrade to Platinum Pro status.

These additions aim to save professionals time and money on their day-to-day purchases.

Since its launch a year ago, Lowe's MyLowe's Rewards program for homeowners has been well-received.

The changes come in response to increasing demand for better loyalty programs among businesses in the trade industry.

The program also introduces flexible reward points that can be spent on practical items for businesses.

This status gives the highest rewards and bigger savings on future purchases.

Last year when MyLowe's Rewards Loyalty Program was launched, Marvin Ellison, Lowe's chairman and CEO said that Lowe's has been serving DIY customers for more than 100 years.

"Now we're rewarding their longtime loyalty by offering even more value when then they shop with MyLowe's Rewards," said Marvin Ellison, Lowe's chairman and CEO.

"We're not just offering savings," Ellison noted.

"We're offering a program that makes their businesses more successful."

MyLowe's Pro Rewards is a three-tier program (Gold Pro, Platinum Pro, Titanium Pro), with new benefits unlocked at each level.

Members begin at Gold Pro and can move up as they make more purchases.

Last year Lowe's joined the ranks of major retailers like Target and Walmart by launching its inaugural member-exclusive sales event.

To celebrate its loyal customer base, Lowe's is introducing significant savings for MyLowe's Rewards members.
