SMITHFIELD - Two people escaped from their burning home without any injuries Wednesday morning.
Smithfield, Four Oaks, Selma, and Wilson's Mills Fire Departments responded to the fire around 10:15am at 902 Blount Street in the Smithfield city limits.
Fire crews arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the residence.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation by the Johnston County Fire Marshal's Office and Smithfield Fire Marshal.
The Red Cross responded to assist the two victims who were displaced.
