Springboks team for the Castle Lager Rugby Championship decider against Argentina in London on October, 4 2025.

South Africa no longer regards Japan as a Tier Two rugby nation and approaches Saturday's test match at Wembley Stadium with caution and respect for the opposition.

The Brave Blossoms have beaten major rugby playing nation in recent years, including the Springboks at the 2015 World Cup in the United Kingdom, and high-risk rugby is, therefore, not being considered as an option.

Assistant coach, Mzwandile Stick, says the two-time defending World Cup champions will stick to what has worked for them in the past and hopes that will be enough to conquer a very dangerous side.

The match against Japan is the first of five tests on consecutive weekends on the Springboks' European tour.
