Miley Cyrus Gives Matrix Vibes in Black, Cut-Out Covered Leather Gown for SNL Concert with Boyfriend Maxx Morando

The Grammy winner, 32, was one of the many celebrities to attend and perform in New York City during the show's special SNL50: Homecoming Concert on Friday, Feb. 14.

For her red carpet moment ahead of the concert, Cyrus channeled The Matrix in an all-black gown by Roberto Cavalli. The leather dress featured a series of cut-outs throughout the bodice and legs, many in a wing pattern. A flouncy, chiffon train added some romance to the look, which Cyrus paired with Paris Texas shoes.

Cyrus wore her hair toussled and down, paired with smokey-eye makeup.

She changed into an embellished look for her time onstage, which saw her perform her Grammy-winning hit, "Flowers."

Cyrus is no stranger to SNL. The pop superstar has hosted three times, making her debut on March 5, 2011 in Season 36, and returned to pull double-duty as host and musical guest on October 5, 2013, and October 3, 2015. She sang a cover of Paul Simon's "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover" during its 40th anniversary special in February 2015. She's also been musical guest four times: in 2017, 2018 with Mark Ronson, 2020, and most recently in 2021.

In addition to Cyrus, the milestone concert celebration featured performers including Arcade Fire, Jelly Roll, Snoop Dogg and Lady Gaga. A three-hour anniversary special will follow on Sunday, Feb. 16.

Cyrus' appearance on the show comes two weeks after she attended the 2025 Grammys in a black custom Saint Laurent gown.

The dress, made of a leather-like material, featured a large diamond-shaped cutout and a crisscross halter neck.

She wore the revealing look with black heels and accessorized with gold Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany & Co. bangles and earrings. For the event, Curys debuted new choppy bangs and Y2K-inspired highlights.
