Hisense has officially launched the Vidda C5 Boundless Master tri-color laser cinema projector in China. The new model is now available for pre-order at a launch price of 24,999 yuan ($3,510). Hisense describes the product as a tribute to movie enthusiasts, targeting users who seek professional-grade visuals and sound for home theaters.

The Vidda C5 Boundless Master uses Hisense's Alpha dual-engine MCL laser architecture. It delivers a real brightness of 6800 CVIA lumens and maintains over 99.99% spectral purity. The projection system has a rated lifespan of 25,000 hours and supports HDR10, Dolby Vision, and DTS:X standards. Hisense has integrated a JBL 2.1-channel sound system with support for powerful bass and high-frequency clarity.

The projector features a 17-element Hubble Red Label cinema lens with a 122mm diameter. It uses all-glass optics and multilayer nano coatings to achieve frame-wide sharpness and a resolution exceeding 160lp/mm. The lens supports a 7-stage variable aperture ranging from F2.0 to F5.0. The third-generation SST architecture DMD chip inside the projector reaches a light power density of 60W/cm², three times higher than the previous generation. The system offers a native contrast ratio of 8000:1 and a dynamic contrast ratio of up to 5,000,000:1 using DeepBlack image processing.

The Vidda C5 supports a projection ratio of 0.84 to 2.0:1 and offers an industry-leading 2.38x super lossless optical zoom. It can project screen sizes up to 300 inches from a distance of 1.9 to 13.3 meters. It also supports ±130% vertical and ±46% horizontal lens shift. The projector uses a quad-camera spatial mapping system and 3D ToF sensors for real-time autofocus, frame alignment, and keystone correction.

Hisense equips the projector with the MediaTek MT9681S processor. It pairs with 8GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. The system supports 1080p at 240Hz and 4K at 60Hz input. For connectivity, it includes dual HDMI 2.1 ports, USB 3.0, optical audio output, RS232, gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth 5.4, and Wi-Fi 7. The device also works as a smart speaker with voice control and can integrate with smart home ecosystems.

To manage thermals, Hisense uses a liquid cooling system with aviation-grade PTFE materials, a 122mm² cold plate, a turbo pump, and an 11-channel radiator. The chassis is made of all-metal with a unibody design in a "Royal Coffee" color finish.

In related Hisense news, the company has recently debuted its 116U75QG and 100UX Mini LED TVs in the U.S., both featuring Dolby Vision 2 support. The company has also launched the E7Q U+ Mini LED TV, which offers 4K resolution, a 170Hz refresh rate, 4,224 local dimming zones, and up to 7,000 nits of peak brightness.
