BRONX (WABC) -- A search is underway for a dog that was stolen while its owner slept on the subway.
The dog napping occurred on Sunday, August 10, around 6 in the morning, police said.
The dog was stolen while on a northbound D train near the Norwood Station in the Bronx, police said.
The suspect fled with the dog in an unknown direction.
Police are also looking for the suspect who they say is a male, approximately 20-25 years of age, slender build, medium length black braids, brown eyes and a black goatee. He was last seen wearing a black faded jacket, black t-shirt, black shorts, black shoes and a black baseball hat.
