Mexico gets tariff carveout: Could Canada be next?

Could Canada get a similar exemption? Nothing has been confirmed. However, facing blowback from US farmers, Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins said Thursday that Trump might add carve-outs on products tied to agriculture, such as potash, and that "all is on the table." Canada supplies 80% of US potash, a critical component of fertilizer.

What is this trade war really about? Trump's reprieve on Mexico specifically mentions actions taken to stem the flow of illegal aliens and fentanyl into the US.
