PITTSFIELD -- Customers hoping to stock up on groceries for the week ahead at Stop & Shop were met with bare shelves Saturday night.
Pittsfield's two Stop & Shop locations were low on items like chicken breasts, yogurt and fresh produce, with many shelves gaping empty.
Signs posted at both locations informed shoppers that "due to IT system outages that are affecting some of our behind-the-scenes applications, product deliveries may be slightly delayed."
