Pretty Vee is stepping into her next chapter -- and she's bringing her fans along for the journey.
The comedian, actress, and entrepreneur stopped by The Baller Alert Show to talk about her latest project, The Pretty Victory: 100-Day Guide to Recenter Yourself and Find Your Purpose. The book, which she describes as a daily devotional, offers personal stories, lessons, and affirmations from her life, along with words of wisdom from some of her closest mentors, including Shaquille O'Neal, Dwyane Wade, and Desi Banks.
"People know the silly Vee, but this book is the other side of me," she explained. "Faith is at the core of who I am."
"I'm checking my DMs now," she joked. "I'm making sure I position myself for that king that's on his way. That husband, those kids, and all the movie deals."
Vee also got real about past relationships, sharing that she's learned valuable lessons from heartbreak and growth. "I talk about my five-year relationship, being manipulated, being lied to... but at the end of the day, God is good. I've healed, and I'm moving forward."
Beyond her personal journey, Pretty Vee has big plans for her career, including more hosting gigs and expanding her brand. She reflected on her experiences hosting award shows, noting that it's something she wants to do more of.
"I love hosting. I love comedy. I love entertaining, period. Any way I can touch the people, I'm going to do it," she said.
As for the state of comedy today, Vee believes it's important to keep pushing boundaries, despite cancel culture.
"Comedy has become so sensitive," she explained. "Back in the day, legends like Bernie Mac said whatever they wanted, and people understood it was just jokes. Now, you can't even talk about someone's teeth without people getting mad."
Before leaving, Vee dropped some gems for host Ferrari Simmons, reminding him -- and everyone listening -- that faith and purpose should always come first.
"God is always going to call you back to what you're meant to do. Just listen to that soft whisper," she advised.
