COLUMBIA, S.C. -- A stretch of cool, dry weather has settled over the region, thanks to high-pressure building into the area. Today will feature plenty of sunshine with a reinforcing shot of colder air arriving in time for the weekend. While conditions should remain dry through Sunday, rain chances will increase Sunday night into Monday. A brief moderation in temperatures is expected at the start of the workweek before colder, dry weather returns midweek.
