Fox's upcoming drama series "Memory of a Killer" has added two new series regulars to its cast.
Variety has learned that Daniel David Stewart and Peter Gadiot have joined the series, which is inspired by the Belgian film "De Zaak Alzheimer," aka "La Memoire Du Tueur." Stewart and Gadiot will appear alongside previously announced lead Patrick Dempsey and fellow series regulars Michael Imperioli, Richard Harmon, and Odeya Rush.
Per the official logline, the show is about "a hitman, Angelo Ledda (Dempsey), leading a dangerous double life while hiding an even deadlier personal secret -- he has developed early onset Alzheimer's."
Stewart will play Jeff, Angelo's son-in-law who is married to Angelo's daughter, Maria (Rush). The character is described as "an inventor with self-confidence but no investors, he's in no rush to get a regular job or treat his father-in-law with respect. With Maria pregnant and a growing family to support, nothing could be better than having Grandpa around the corner, if only he wasn't a hitman."
Gadiot will play Dave, described as "a local police detective in sleepy Hudson Springs who has no idea a world class hitman is living there right under his nose, or that Angelo is that hitman. Dave investigated the drunk driving accident that took Angelo's wife from him five years ago, and since then he and Angelo have become great friends. Further complicating things, Dave is secretly in love with Angelo's married daughter, Maria."
Stewart has starred in the Hulu series adaptation of "Catch 22" as well as shows like "For All Mankind" at Apple TV+, "Reacher" at Amazon Prime Video, and "The Fugitive" at Quibi. In film, he recently appeared in the thriller "Red Right Hand" and the crime drama "Silk Road."
Gadiot's recent TV credits include "Quantum Leap" at NBC, the "One Piece" live-action series at Netflix, "Silo" at Apple TV+, and "Yellowjackets" at Showtime. He also starred opposite Alice Braga in the USA Network series "Queen of the South."
Stewart is repped by Gersh, 3 Arts, and Jackoway Austen. Gadiot is repped by Gersh, Waring and McKenna, and Amplified.
"Memory of a Killer" is produced by Warner Bros. Television and Fox Entertainment. Ed Whitmore and Tracey Malone developed the series for television and executive produce alongside Cathy Schulman of Welle Entertainment. Arthur Sarkissian and Martin Campbell are also executive producers, along with Peter Bouckaert of Eyeworks.
