Leadership Anne Arundel (LAA), a leading leadership training and networking organization, has announced that applications are now open for the Flagship Program Class of 2026. This premier 10-month program offers participants a deep dive into civic leadership, community engagement, and critical issues facing Anne Arundel County.
The Flagship Program, LAA's cornerstone initiative, combines leadership development with hands-on learning about the infrastructure and operations of Anne Arundel County. Participants represent a diverse cross-section of the community, encompassing a range of ethnic, social, economic, and geographic backgrounds.
"LAA's Flagship program participants gain a new network of community stakeholders and experience a unique behind-the-scenes understanding of the infrastructure of our community," said Kris Shock, President and CEO of LAA. "The Flagship experience brings a new sense of focus and direction and provides ideas the class takes with them so they can lead with impact."
The Flagship Program runs from September 2025 to June 2026, meeting monthly for full-day sessions on key topics such as:
Participants engage with public, private, and non-profit leaders to discuss regional challenges, explore community needs, and develop strategies for impactful leadership. By the program's end, graduates emerge equipped with the tools to drive meaningful change in their communities.
Applications for the Class of 2026 are due by March 31, 2025. A limited amount of need-based tuition assistance is available, with priority given to non-profits, individuals, and small business owners.
