A popular Huddersfield town centre curry house has issued an 'important announcement' to customers as it prepares to close for the final time.
We've previously brought you details of the Chilli Lounge, in John William Street, shutting down. The final service will be on Saturday, November 1.
It has been loved for 18 years with some customers declaring Chilli Lounge as 'the best curry house in Huddersfield'. Ahead of its closure, the team have offered a thank you to their loyal customers.
On Facebook, they have posted: " Important Announcement from Chilli Lounge Huddersfield. This Friday and Saturday, we're saying thank you to all our amazing customers with a 20 per cent discount on all collection orders over £15.
"We truly appreciate your support over the years -- don't miss your last chance to enjoy your favourite dishes before we close our doors." They added: "Come and enjoy your favourites one last time."
When they announced news of their plans to shut down, the Chilli Lounge team posted: "The preceding five years have presented significant operational challenges, particularly due to escalating costs exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic. Despite our utmost efforts to maintain operations, continued trading has become increasingly unsustainable.
"We wish to extend our deepest appreciation for your unwavering patronage and support throughout the past 18 years. Your loyalty has been invaluable, and we are profoundly grateful for the opportunity to have served this exceptional community. Thank you for your understanding and support."
Some customers, who have paid a visit this week, have sent heartfelt messages to the restaurant and its staff. We've seen Mole Chapman post: "Thank you for last night."
