LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) - The Oklahoma State Department of Health has recently reported two cases of Measles in the state.

The cases are being reported to the CDC as probable due to the lack of confirmed lab tests, according to their website.

The individuals were exposed to someone in Texas or Arizona and had symptoms.

Measles can be prevented with a vaccine. The vaccine is recommended for children 12 to 15 months of age and again from four to six. Two doses of MMR vaccine are about 97% effective at preventing measles, and one dose is about 93% effective.
