Flores is the most notable player from the list of cuts, as the Tigers' minor-league pitcher of the year in 2022 and the No. 3-ranked prospect in 2023.
The 24-year-old has been on the injury report since the beginning of 2025 spring training with right shoulder inflammation. As of Tuesday morning, Flores hadn't started a return-to-play throwing program in his rehab process.

Flores changed roles from starter to reliever in the 2024 season, but he struggled in Triple-A Toledo. For the Mud Hens, he had an 8.53 ERA with 24 walks and 23 strikeouts across 25⅔ innings in 16 relief appearances.
He was sidelined for most of the season with a shoulder injury.

The Tigers removed Flores from the 40-man roster on Nov. 22, but on Nov. 23, they re-signed him to a minor league contract with an invitation to MLB spring training.
Flores is no longer ranked on MLB Pipeline's top-30 list for prospects in the Tigers' farm system. When healthy, he is expected to pitch for Triple-A Toledo this season.
