A Massachusetts casino player won a jackpot prize for the first time after betting less than a $1.
The player bet 88-cents on the game "FaFaFa Festival" on Oct. 15. They won the jackpot prize worth $18,67.60.
The win follows a streak of jackpot winners.
On Oct. 14, a MGM Springfield player bet $2.50 on the game "Dragon Link." They won the jackpot prize of $15,733.52.
On Oct. 13, an MGM Springfield casino player bet $7.50 on the game "Monopoly Express." They won the jackpot prize of $50,706.
And the day before, two jackpot prizes were won on slot machines at MGM Springfield.
On Oct. 12, an MGM Springfield slot machine player bet $3 on the game "Buffalo Link." They won the jackpot prize of $11,077.22. And another slots player bet $20 on the game "Phoenix Link." They won a jackpot prize worth $15,669.23.
The casino paid out more than $11,800,000 in jackpot prizes in September. Overall, there are over 1,500 slot machines at MGM Springfield.
In February, the casino paid out more than $9.9 million in jackpot prizes. March had 56 jackpot winners, and by April, winnings totaled $12.1 million at the Springfield casino. The momentum continued in May with over $12.5 million paid out, including a $41,600 win on "Video Poker." June brought another $12.1 million in jackpots, highlighted by an $80,000 "Video Poker" win on June 20. July had the largest amount of payouts with more than $12.9 million.
