Why was Meghan Markle's new Netflix series delayed? All to know

With only hours to go before Meghan Markle's hotly anticipated Netflix series, many will be wondering why its release date was delayed.

Originally, the programme was set for a January release but this was changed at the last minute because of unforeseen circumstances.

If you're wondering why the show's premiere was moved, here is everything you need to know.

Discussing the new show, Netflix said: "Meghan blends practical how-tos and candid conversation with friends, new and old.

"Meghan shares personal tips and tricks, embracing playfulness over perfection, and highlights how easy it can be to create beauty, even in the unexpected."

The new series will premiere on Tuesday, March 4 on Netflix. Typically, the streaming giant releases new shows at 8am in the UK.

The programme was originally meant to air on January 15, but this was changed because of circumstances that affected its production.

According to the Daily Express, the show was delayed because of the devastating wildfires that ravaged Los Angeles in California.

The fire apparently encroached on The Duchess and her family, forcing production to halt for a time.
