Padres fans sink to a new, delusional low with idiotic Shohei Ohtani conspiracy

After forcing their manager to "retire", San Diego Padres fans have nothing better to do than make weird claims about the Los Angeles Dodgers and their World Series run. While Padres fans can't just enjoy the fact that the Toronto Blue Jays have a 3-2 series lead over the Dodgers, they have to try and take the fun out of the greatness Shohei Ohtani has displayed.

In Game 3 of the World Series, Ohtani had a performance that came close to matching his historic showing against the Milwaukee Brewers in Game 4 of the NLCS. In the Dodgers' 6-5 win over the Blue Jays last Monday night, Ohtani had two home runs and two doubles while reaching base in all nine of his plate appearances.

Even the most casual baseball fans understand why that was a remarkable accomplishment. The issue is that the minds of Padres fans don't function like the average baseball fan. They are obsessed with taking the fun out of everything the Dodgers do, and that has been the case with Ohtani's playoff run.

Responding to a post that tried to stir up "controversy" by pointing out drastic home/road splits Ohtani has had offensively during the playoffs, one Padres fan went to the lengths of accusing the Dodgers of a 2017 Astros' sign-stealing type scandal.

Again, Padres fans have way too much time on their hands. The truth of the matter is that Ohtani, as a pitcher, wears a pitch-com device in order to communicate with Will Smith when he is on the mound ... which, by the way, Ohtani was not wearing on Monday night in Game 3, considering he didn't pitch in the game.

The picture in question is from the game after, on Tuesday night, when Ohtani was the starting pitcher of record for the Dodgers. Considering the Dodgers took the loss in the game while Ohtani went hitless with two strikeouts, Padres fans need to be better with their lazy conspiracies.

All this being said, it's typical Padre fan behavior â€" blaming everything but their team for why they are miserable. To Padres fans out there, have fun with your new manager, whoever it is. Just know that it won't matter.
