Charlotte Chilton explains why she's adamant Conor Maynard is daughter's dad despite DNA results - Daily Record

Charlotte Chilton broke down in tears as she opened up on the "horrific" messages she received after Conor Maynard posted the results of their paternity test online. The musician took two tests which came back showing the musician was not the father of Charlotte's baby.

However, the Traitors star still insists that Conor is the father. The star alleged Conor was the father of her daughter after she was born in October 2024.

Conor denied this and completed a DNA test in March 2025 which confirmed the singer did not father the child. Another one was done in August, which came back with the same result.

However, in a recent interview, Charlotte continued to insist that the results are wrong and that Conor is the father. In the interview, Charlotte said: "I have researched and researched trying to find the answers because I know for a fact that the only person who can be my daughter's father is Conor Maynard."

She explained: "After speaking to experts I have found out that what might have happened is I could have been carrying twins but lost one very early.

"Then strange genetics come into play which means that twin could have taken certain DNA so her father could never show up on a paternity test. It is something called chimerism."

In a video from their chat, Charlotte then broke down in tears over the aftermath of the situation and said the way Conor acted felt like a "kick".

She alleged that he posted the results before she had even seen them so the "whole world knew" before she did.

The video was part of an interview with The Sun.

Charlotte told the publication that she received "horrific" messages from online trolls after the paternity results were publicly revealed.

Tearing up, she added that Conor asked fans to "be kind" to her but the hypocrisy hurt her.

She added that she found it difficult to see people praise him for his words because he felt that behind the scenes, it was very different.

Five months after the paternity test came back negative, Charlotte alleged that an "unidentified male was present" when Conor's sample was taken.

She also added that the testing location was changed at the last second and claimed that her own DNA was never taken, despite this being common practice to improve the accuracy of the test.

Charlotte was said to be seeking a court-ordered test to establish the child's parentage in August.

A source told The Sun that she was "blindsided" when Conor released the paternity test and was "ready to fight" for him to take another one.

The insider added that Charlotte felt the previous test should be discounted because she felt it wasn't done under the controlled conditions that they had set.

Conor took a second paternity test that month and posted the result on Instagram once again which confirmed that he is not the father of Charlotte's daughter.

Earlier this month, Conor told the Mirror that the situation could have been dealt with privately.
