Beats Teams Up With IShowSpeed for Kung Fu-Inspired Powerbeats Pro 2 Ad [Video]

Beats has released a new short film promoting the Powerbeats Pro 2, teaming up with streamer IShowSpeed to spotlight the earbuds' stability during intense activity. Titled "Speed & Stability," the five-minute spot uses a kung fu storyline to show off the secure fit provided by the headphones' signature ear hooks.

The film follows IShowSpeed as he travels to an ancient temple to train under a kung fu master, played by Paco Yick, a longtime member of Jackie Chan's stunt team. After an online comment calls his stability into question, the streamer takes on a series of demanding challenges, from balancing water buckets to dodging attacks. Throughout the chaos, the Powerbeats Pro 2 remain firmly in place, with the film boldly labeling them "the most stable earbuds on earth."

To mark the release, IShowSpeed also hosted a livestream premiere, where he gave away five "Master of Speed" kits that included a pair of custom Beats over-ear headphones.

Beats released the Powerbeats Pro 2 earlier this year on February 13, with a retail price of $249.99. The updated model builds on the original with improved sound and a refined design aimed at athletes who need a more secure fit.

Currently, the Powerbeats Pro 2 are on sale for $199.95, which is 20% off the regular price. While that's a solid deal, it's not the lowest we've seen. The earbuds briefly dropped to $156 in late October.
