"If you come up to me and you're about 22 and you say 'I love your comedy,' I know it's from the Internet," he says. "You haven't been alive that long when I was on (HBO's 'Bad Boys of Comedy')."
Fans even enjoy Castillo's now-trademark knack for smacking or banging the stage's back wall - something Castillo wasn't aware he was doing - while telling jokes. "The comment section made me realize I do it," he says. "So, if I'm performing though, hitting the wall is, in essence, like a person clicking the pen or tapping their foot, and it's like, boom boom! It accentuates my point, which makes me comfortable, and it makes them laugh, but I'm really doing it for my comfort. They say I'll be beating the hell out the wall, but there's only one time I was like, 'Oh, snap, I might break this [expletive] because I accidentally hit it too hard'."
