BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) -- Today, SpaceX launched another group of its Starlink internet satellites from California's Vandenberg Space Force Base.
The Falcon 9 rocket, carrying 23 Starlink satellites took off from the base at 6:07 a.m.
The Falcon 9's first-stage booster returned to Earth about eight minutes after liftoff, touching down on a drone ship in the Pacific Ocean.
This marked SpaceX's 401st successful recovery of an orbital-class booster, and today's flight was the 23rd launch and landing for this particular booster.
According to a SpaceX mission description, 14 of its 22 flights have been Starlink missions.
