AMC HQ's Employee of the Quarter helps the Army reduce brain health risks

REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. -- In a command where innovation meets mission execution, Jessica Myers has emerged as a standout contributor, earning her recognition as the U.S. Army Materiel Command Headquarters Employee of the Quarter for the 2nd Quarter, Fiscal Year 2025.

Announced by Lt. Gen. Chris Mohan, deputy commanding general and acting commander of AMC, this honor celebrates Myers' exceptional performance, dedication and impact on the command's strategic goals. It means her work reflects not only technical excellence but also a deep commitment to improving the lives of Soldiers and families through smarter, more responsive communication and support.

"The AMC Employee of the Quarter program highlights individuals who demonstrate innovation, dedication and excellence, reinforcing a culture of achievement and productivity across the enterprise," said Maj. Gen. Kevin Meisler, AMC Chief of Staff.

Myers is recognized by her colleagues for using her role to advance the command's messaging around Soldier support initiatives, particularly those focused on food access and quality of life. Her media analysis and sentiment tracking have helped shape public understanding of efforts like commissary access expansion for meal card holders, the installation of grab-and-go kiosks and community partnerships supporting military families during permanent change of station transitions.

"My nomination was based on proactive efforts, [including] education on blast overpressure exposure to protect the brain health of our Soldiers and Civilians that operate heavy weapons systems," Myers said.

But to her, a recognition like this isn't an individual award, but rather one that reflects the collective efforts of her team and the important work they do.

"Addressing the complex issue of blast overpressure risks has been both challenging and rewarding, and I am proud to have contributed to...the Army's mission to reduce brain health risks," she said. "I remain dedicated to advancing initiatives that protect our personnel and strengthen the safety culture across the AMC enterprise."

Myers' recognition is part of a broader AMC initiative to foster a culture of achievement, retention and engagement. She joins a distinguished group of honorees across the AMC enterprise, including:
