CIF State Southern California boys and girls soccer regional semifinals

Striker Matthew Ibarra continued his scoring tear in the playoffs, scoring twice to lead the Lancers to their second championship game in a week.

Junior Moreno gave the Lancers a 1-0 lead on a penalty kick, and Ibarra scored two minutes into the second half to double their lead, and added the finisher midway through the second half.

Top-seed Bishop Amat (30-2-1), who won the CIF-SS Division 1 championship, will be home in Saturday's regional title game against San Pasqual (20-4-3), a 3-0 winner over Sultana. Kickoff is at 5 p.m.

DIVISION V

Pasadena Poly 1, Canoga Park 1, Pasadena Poly won in PKs, 4-3

After the Panthers' Ethan Greenberg gave them a 1-0 lead early in the second half, it looked like it would remain that way. But Canoga Park got the game-tying goal in stoppage time to send the match to overtime, and it ended it going to penalty kicks.

Panthers goalkeeper Eli Axel came up big as the Panthers advanced. Pasadena Poly (17-3-2), who won the CIF-SS Division 7 championship, will be home in Saturady's championship against Classical Academy, who knocked off top-seed St. Margert's 1-0 to advance. The game time is yet to be determined.

The Matadores posted their third straight shutout, and needed it, getting a lone goal from Zoe Santiago.

La Mirada (15-9-3) gets its rematch and will be on the road against Sage Hill, a 1-0 winner over Santa Maria, in Saturday's championship game.

Sage Hill and La Mirada tied 0-0 in last week's CIF-SS Division 4 championship game, but Sage Hill won the title in penalty kicks.

The Heralds had an easy time advancing to Saturday's regional championship game. Lily Baker scored two goals and Kaylie Ichaso, Jolie Wooley and Genevieve Silebi scored the others.

Whittier Christian (16-6-3) will be home in Saturday's regional title game against Vista del Lago, who knocked off top seed Tri-City Christian, 2-0
