Mike Tannenbaum is not employed by the New York Jets but he was lending a helping hand.
Prior to the team's search for a new head coach and general manager, which concluded with the hirings of Aaron Glenn and Darren Mougey, respectively, it was announced that there would be some assistance provided.
Tannenbaum founded The 33rd Team in 2019, which is a football media, analytics and consulting outlet. Rick Spielman is a former GM with the Miami Dolphins and Minnesota Vikings who also is with The 33rd Team. That group was hired to work with owner Woody Johnson in finding new leaders.
With the dust settled, Tannenbaum has spoken on Glenn and Mougey heading to New York via ESPN Radio. The former Jets GM praised both in no surprise.
